The Dirty Dozen: 12 Lessons From My First Year in Business: I’m frequently asked by friends and colleagues what advice I would give them as they consider major job transitions, like my recent military retirement.  This talk condenses a year of business lessons learned into some thoughts for anyone considering a change, and especially for those considering founding their own firm, covering everything from living your values to pricing, networking to contracting.

Chris Raines is the President and Founder of Madam’s Creek Consulting, LLC.  Madam’s Creek provides a wide range of leadership, management, and technical consulting services, serving clients as small as 5-person startups and large as Fortune 500 companies.  Chris served over two decades in the US Air Force, holding positions as Commander of a Squadron in the Intelligence Community, Program Manager for major air and space programs, Operations Officer in space and cyber positions, a DARPA Fellow, and Intern at the White House and the State Department.  Chris holds degrees from the US Air Force Academy, Harvard University, and the US Naval War College.  He is a certified PMP.

Emotional Intelligence: The newest buzzword popping up in vision statements, performance reviews and corporate metrics around the globe is Emotional Intelligence. So what? Do you know what emotional intelligence really is and why you should, as a project manager care? Start the journey of building your emotional intelligence muscle to improve your value as a project manager, an employee, and a person with tools designed to assess where you are in order to know where you need to go.

Tina Wisler is a seasoned project/program manager and personal development trainer/speaker. Her vast project management experience crosses multiple industries; telecom, transportation, DoD and finance. Tina takes her years of expproject management and personal development and delivers a unique blend of information, tools, and techniques to enhance your value as a project manager.

Organizational Change Management in an Era of Constant Change: Project Management is changing. The introduction to new concepts such as Agile, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Workplaces and an increasing Global Workforce have introduced a multitude of challenges and constant change. It seems the roles of a PM has become as iterative as the scrums we oversee. In the midst of these changes, Organizational Change Management(OCM), has become an emerging support system with the thought of enabling the “people-side” of the project, adopt these changes more effectively and quickly. This talk is to introduce a set of tools and support mechanisms that have been identified to effectively implement OCM and to assist Project Managers in navigating these turbulent, and at times very murky, new water.

Vicki Fraser attended Penn State University for her first BA in Sociology then Robert Morris University for an AA in both Communications Management and Education as well as Duquesne University for a BS in Organizational Leadership, followed by a Geneva College for a Masters in Organizational Leadership. A PMP certified PM, she is also a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), as well as a certified Scrum Master.  She is currently pursuing her PMI Certified Agile Project Management, PMI-ACP.
