Session 1 & Session 2 (2 LEADERSHIP PDUs):

"Talkin' About My Generation"

Learn about how to communicate, manage and lead the now five (5!) generations in the modern work world.  This interactive and informative session will help you to gain a better understanding of the characteristics of the various generations and offer tips and suggestions for managing generational differences. We will review how to enhance your teamwork and communications, as well as how to foster personal accountability to work cohesively with people across each of the different generational groups.

Presentors: Liz Whitmore, EdD, SPHR, SHRM-SCP and Kamela L. Pancroft, PHR, SHRM-CP

Liz WhitmoreBio: Liz has been in the human resources field for over 25 years. She is the Chief People Officer at the City of Lone Tree, where she has worked for the last five and half years. Prior to her current position, Liz served in human resources leadership roles at the following institutions: Santa Clara University, The Art Institute of Colorado and Regis University. Liz is also an affiliate faculty member with Regis University since May 2013, teaching their Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Departments.

She received her Bachelors of Science in Business & Economics from St. Mary’s College (CA) and an MBA from Santa Clara University (CA). Liz recently completed an EdD in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University. Her dissertation topic was on mid-level leadership in local government. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and the SHRM-Senior Certified Professional certifications.

Liz enjoys attending various HR- and leadership-related workshops/seminars to continue her developement as effective leader and facilitator.  She loves to spend time with her husband, Hugh and daughter, Madeline, exploring Colorado, watching the Colorado Rockies and vacationing at the beach in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. A major family goal and accomplishment was visiting all 50 states - which they completed in April 2014 – one month before Madeline’s high school graduation.

Bio: Kamela Pancroft serves on the Executive team for the Credit Union of Colorado as Senior Vice President, People and Planning.  Kamela Pancroft is a native of Texas, but has been a Colorado transplant for 24 years, currently living with her daughter, Payton, in Castle Rock, CO.  She received her bachelor and graduate degrees from Texas A&M University. 

Her 30 years of professional human resource experience covers a variety of industries, including retail, healthcare, high tech, information and financial services. She has volunteered for various local organizations including The Junior League of Denver, Habitat for Humanity, Colorado Human Resource Association, and The Colorado Society for Human Resource Management, Executive Advisor for Rocky Mountain ATD, Executive Council for Wise Women, and Leadership Douglas County.

She was on the Board of Directors and served as President for the Colorado Human Resources Association for 7 years. She currently serves on the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation Board of Directors.   She is certified as professional in human resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management and has maintained this designation since 1990. Kamela enjoys gardening, interior decorating, and swimming.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

The PMI Pikes Peak Regional Chapter Refund and Cancellation Policy is currently under revision. As per the approved revisions, cancellation of registrations for Chapter Meetings will be honored and refunds granted when the cancellation is completed/received by 11:59 PM seven business days before the event.
