6 Essential Questions to Start Any Project With

Description: When we start any project, there are six essential questions that must be answered. If we don’t answer or define these six questions well during our initial planning, the project is likely to fail. It doesn’t matter the size or complexity of the project when dealing with these questions. These six simple yet critical questions could mean the difference between project success and failure.

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to answer these questions:

  1. What are the six essential questions?
  2. Why are they so important?
  3. How do we answer them?
  4. How do we apply the answers in order to ensure project success?

Session 2 (1 PDU):

How to Create A WOW Project

Description: This fun and informative presentation offers project managers insights into how to turn any project into a WOW project. The presentation is based on the work of Dr. Tom Peters. Projects are everywhere. Even the smallest or simplest project can become a WOW project. Learn how to take a mundane project from dull to WOW.

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to answer these questions:

  1. What is a WOW project?
  2. What are the various elements of a WOW project?
  3. How can you create a WOW project?
  4. Why might this be important to you?

Dr. Daniel R. Price, DM, PMP

Dr. Daniel R. Price, DM, PMP has an extensive background in leadership and management issues as a result of 30 plus years of experience in business, government, and higher education.   Dr. Price graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, from the University of South Dakota, and from Colorado Technical University. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and the Association for Talent Development. He is a certified project manager with the Project Management Institute. He instructed project management for PM College and the University of the Rockies School of Organizational Leadership, as well as other universities.  

Dr. Price has spoken about, taught, or written about the many facets of project management, leadership, management, and strategy. He has planned, developed, and implemented many management systems and instructed hundreds of people in such areas as project management, strategic planning, Total Quality Management, leadership improvement, teamwork, and customer service. His company, Winning Ways Management LLC, provides training, coaching, and consulting in project management as well as leadership development and coaching. Dr. Price is the author of the book titled “Your Customer System” and the book called “Takeoff: An Introduction to Project Management.”  

Cancellation:

A minimum of 10 participants must be signed up 2 weeks prior for the class to proceed. Registered attendee cancellation: Individual registered attendees must cancel their paid registration by 12:00 am three business days prior to an event to qualify for refund. Cancellations received without sufficient notice or those who are a no-show are not entitled to a refund. Any exceptions to this policy will be at the sole discretion of the VP of Finance and requests for refund must be received prior to the event.
