Dennis Lewis, the Project Manager, for a multimillion dollar contract with the US FDA, will discuss lessons learned on a web architecture and enterprise system support project for a national agency that has about 11,000 employees and over a million visitors a year on its websites.

The Project Manager as a leader must work with people of different personalities. In this session, we will determine your personality and its relationship to projects. How does personality influence the project team and impact a project? What types of personalities are a natural fit for Project Managers? What personalities support project work?

Dr. Dennis Lewis

 

Dennis led and managed information technology, telecommunications, and foreign language training projects for over 20 years. He served as a program manager for the Command Language Program for several military units to include the US Army Europe. He represented the United States for two international treaties. After a career in telecommunications and program manager in the US Army, he retired as a Chief Warrant officer. He led information technology and telecommunications projects for the Department of Defense and other commercial endeavors for several years. He also ran a project office managing a company’s project portfolio strategy. He taught Russian at the United States Air Force and worked as a project lead to bring language content to computer-based learning. He served as the Senior Project Manager for the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) web architecture for two years. He also worked as an Earned Value Manager for seven projects supporting the United States Department of Agriculture and Forest Service. He served as the Department Chair for Project Management and Logistics/Supply Chain Management and is currently a Professor for Colorado Technical University

Dr. Lewis has an MA in International Relations, and MS in Project Management and Information Technology, and a DM in Global Leadership. His dissertation topic: “Mentoring Russian orphans as leaders in the workplace”. He is currently the Project Manager working with Dr. Don Schley, the Senior Editor, on a textbook for Project Management theory.

As per the approved revisions, cancellation of registrations for Chapter Meetings will be honored and refunds granted when the cancellation is completed/received by 11:59 PM seven business days before the event.
