Overview:

Beer might be one of the world's oldest alcoholic beverages, but it's far from stale. In the last two decades, global beer production has increased nearly 50 percent. New markets and changing tastes are transforming the brewing industry more than 5,000 years after its inception. In the last two decades, global beer production has increased nearly 50 percent, reaching about 2 billion hectoliters (1.7 billion barrels) in 2015, according to Transparency Market Research. Global beer sales are projected to increase 6 percent annually in the coming years, reaching US$688.4 billion by 2020, according to Allied Market Research.

The upshot for breweries is clear: They're launching projects to increase production, boost efficiencies and deliver standout products in an increasingly competitive market. Up-and-coming organizations are learning to brew at a new scale.*

In this workshop, you will get experience the back stage production at Red Leg Brewing company and learn how they utilize Project Management fundamentals to create and distribute beer. Come take a tour, ask questions and stay afterwards for a networking Happy Hour.

Objectives:

  • Attendees will gain insight into the project management approach and techniques used in a real world small volume production environment
  • The interactive question and answer approach with the Brewer/Owner will allow attendees to focus on project management areas of interest.

Red Leg Brewing Company is a Veteran owned production brewery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Red Leg’s unique name is derived from the Civil War battlefields, where artillery soldiers wore a cardinal stripe on their pant leg to denote their location on the field of battle.

Red Leg provides the highest quality craft beer to honor the men and women who currently and formerly served in The United States Military.
