Who wants to be a PMI-ACP?

View Presentation Archive

Are you interested in earning PMI's fastest growing certification?  Do you have questions about eligibility and how to apply?  Would you like to learn more about the content covered by the exam?  Would you like information about exam prep resources?  Would you like to hear about general PMI-ACP tips and get ideas for creating your own personal study plan?  If so, then this is the presentation for you!

*The information in this presentation will not be an overview of Agile, provide guidance on how to implement Agile at your organization, nor will it compare and contrast Agile and Waterfall methodologies.  This will all be about learning how to acquire the PMI-ACP certification.

About the PMI-ACP certification

The PMI-ACP is for anyone that works on agile teams or for anyone whose organization is adopting agile practices.   The PMI-ACP is now PMI's third most popular certification, with just under 15,000 certifications awarded since the exam began in 2012.  The exam covers a wide range of agile principles, tools and methodologies including Scrum, XP, and Lean.

Learning Goals

  • Does the PMI-ACP certification align with your career goals?
  • Understand the requirements needed to apply.
  • Review resources available to help you prepare for the exam.
  • General tips and exam guidance.

Session 2 (1 PDU): Leadership

If only OTHER people came with a user’s manual-using your strengths to build relationships and propel your project forward

Strong relationships lead to stronger more successful projects.  In this very interactive keynote participants learn about themselves and others.  We will learn what makes us feel good and how to make others  feel good about themselves.  We can use this knowledge to build stronger relationships to propel our projects forward. This session is fun and interactive.

Key Takeaways:

    • Determine your top five behavior strengths
    • develop strategies on how to better use these strengths to enhance relationships
    • practice borrowing behaviors when you current behavior may not be working
    • get to know others at the dinner meeting
