OUR VISION AND MISSION

The Educational Foundation, both PMI Education Foundation and PMI PPRC Education Foundation, are a charitable nonprofit organizations leveraging project management for social good. The Education Foundations develop, implement and deliver innovative programs including scholarships, awards and grants as well as educational resources that strengthen both teaching and learning.

PMI Educational Foundation

PMI’s Educational Foundation (PMI EF) is the philanthropic arm of the Project Management Institute.  Its vision is “Project Management for Social Good.”  Our Pikes Peak Regional, Colorado Chapter has a liaison to the PMI EF, and this volunteer is charged with two-way communication:  (1) ensuring that our region is aware of PMI EF’s resources and opportunities, and (2) sharing PPRC’s stories of successful community engagement with the greater PMI community.
PMI EF achieves its vision of PM for Social Good in three ways.  First, it awards scholarships and grants.  Second, it publishes case studies of project management’s application in education, non-profit organizations, and disaster recovery efforts.  Third, it offers free project management training resources.
PMI EF has published project management training materials tailored to several audiences:
·         K-12 Students and their Teachers
·         College Students
·         Non-Profit Organizations
PMI EF’s resources and funding applications are available at www.pmief.org.  Please contact PMI EF Liaison if you would like more information or if you have an idea about how we can use PM for Social Good in the Pikes Peak Region.

PPRC Educational Foundation

The PPRC Education Foundation board has decided to align with the PMI Education Foundation. Our decision to do this was to  improve Social Good opportunities for the PMI PPRC chapter members. We hope you will take the time to learn more about the PMI Education Foundation and its opportunities. The PPRC EF leaders are excited about this next step in the program. Please contact pprcef@pmipprc.org if you have any questions.
